Volcanic soils with calcareous and chalky marls.
Wines from monovarietals of old vines with very mature grapes and long ageing.

Red wine with long maceration in wood

Our top red wine, from vines over 60 years old. It macerates for at least 6 months in large oak barrels and is refined for a further year in concrete tank.
In great years we go out with the vintage. For other vintages, we think the cuvèe of two or more vintages is of better balance and finesse.
Unfiltered.
